Come and Celebrate Pastor Cyndi’s Ministry with us at an All-Church Fellowship Hour on Sunday, August 31, at 10:00 a.m. in Hardy Hall. Pastor Cyndi has been our interim pastor for almost two years as we’ve searched for a settled pastor. We will celebrate her ministry with a special fellowship immediately following church on Sunday August 31.

Pastor Cyndi’s exit interview with Church Council is Tuesday, August 19, at 7:00 p.m. It will be facilitated by Rev. Dr. Jeff Evans and is open to all members to attend.

The church office is now open Monday through Friday, 8 am–1 pm.

Mission Items of the Month for August and September are new and gently used sweaters, coats, and jackets. Donated items will support the 15^th annual Sweater Weather Recycling Campaign sponsored by Davis Funeral Home. All donations may be placed in the shopping cart outside the church office. Thanks

Workcamp 2009 ~ Planning is beginning for our next trip with Group Workcamps. Your non-refundable $50 deposit will hold a space for you to travel with us to Groton, CT next July 19-25, 2009. This is a Senior High camp so you need to be age 14 or entering the 9th grade in Sept '09 to be able to attend. Please make your check payable to the Congregational Church of Hollis and add a note with your email address attached. These camps are geared toward teens and their faith development; however adult campers are also needed as drivers/chaperones: we are required to have a ratio of 1:5 for both males and females. We have reserved 40 spaces, and 7 workcampers have already claimed their spaces. Turn in your $50 and we’ll add your name to the list!

The 2008 Flower Calendar still has many opportunities open! Signing up to provide flowers during worship is easy...just write your name and phone number beside your desired date on the flower calendar located to the left of the pastor's office door in the hallway. Then follow the posted instructions.

The July-August issue of The Upper Room, a daily devotional guide, is available in regular and large print in the narthex and on the bookshelf outside the church office.

Director of Youth Music - Paid position on the Music staff, 5 hours per week (including Sundays). If you have a musical background and enjoy a challenge, consider helping our children and youth express their growing faith through music and song. A Director of Youth Music is needed to develop and implement an exciting program for our youth. If you are interested or know of someone we might contact, call April Springfield at 465-7155.
